Overview:
Meeting Facilitator needed to join a team working to create software and solutions for basic HR functions to cut costs, increase efficiency and provide better customer support surrounding human resources. Three major efforts will be the core focus of this project: HR Shared Service Centers, HR standards and solutions and the migration to shared-services for the provision of HR systems and services. Our team will provide SDLC project management, technical management and implementation support.

Responsibilities:
The Meeting Facilitator is primarily responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Manage calendar of meetings for the program staff
  • Gather meeting requirements such as attendees, agenda, presentation materials, etc.
  • Invite required and optional attendees and obtain confirmation of attendance by required attendees
  • Distribute all meeting materials and the agenda ahead of the meeting to ensure attendees have what is needed to come prepared
  • Communicate expectations and assingments to attendees who present information in the meeting
  • Manage meeting conversation to keep attendees on topic
  • When necessary, create spin-off meetings to discuss related, but off topic, subjects in more depth
  • Take meeting notes and minutes capturing topics, discussion highlights, concerns, options, decisions and outcomes
  • Followup with attendees to ensure they understand their action items
  • Distribute meeting minutes to attendees after completion of the meeting
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Discipliune, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related discipline AND 5 years of experience with software related projects; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in planning, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of operating projects/programs
  • Experience using source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and business processes
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Government agency contracting; VA preferred (VHA/VBA).
  • Certification as an Agile Scrum Master
  • HR Smart or other enterprise HRIS system.
